Uninstalling Valorant is not easy to uninstall directly by clicking uninstall. Because of Vanguard, the anti-cheat system created by Riot Games. therefore no one can understand how to uninstall it.



Here’s a step-by-step guide to uninstalling Valorant:

Close Valorant and Vanguard:

Ensure that both Valorant and Vanguard are not running. Close them by right-clicking their system tray icons (usually found in the bottom right corner of your screen) and selecting "Exit" or "Close."


Step 1: Close Valorant and Vanguard Make sure both Valorant and the Vanguard anti-cheat system are not running. You can close them by right-clicking on the system tray icons (bottom right corner of your screen) and selecting "Exit" or "Close."

Step 2: Uninstall Valorant To uninstall Valorant, follow these steps:
  • Click on the Windows Start button.
  • Go to "Settings" (the gear icon).
  • Click on "Apps" or "Apps & features," depending on your Windows version.
  • Scroll down the list of installed applications and locate "Valorant."
  • Click on "Valorant," and then click "Uninstall."
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
Step 3: Uninstall Vanguard After uninstalling Valorant, you also need to uninstall Vanguard, the anti-cheat system:
  • Press the Windows key + R to open the "Run" dialog box.
  • Type in "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter. This will open the "Programs and Features" window.
  • Look for "Riot Vanguard" in the list of installed programs.
  • Click on "Riot Vanguard," and then click "Uninstall."
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
Step 4: Delete leftover files (Optional but recommended) Even after uninstalling Valorant and Vanguard, there might be some residual files left on your system. You can manually delete these files to ensure a clean uninstallation:
  • Press the Windows key + R to open the "Run" dialog box again.
  • Type in "%ProgramData%" (without quotes) and press Enter. This will open the ProgramData folder, where some Vanguard files may be stored.
  • Locate the "Riot Games" folder and delete it (right-click and select "Delete").
  • Next, type in "%AppData%" (without quotes) in the Run dialog box and press Enter. This will open the AppData folder.
  • Locate the "Riot Games" folder inside "Local" and "Roaming." Delete these folders as well.
Step 5: Restart your computer After completing the uninstallation and file deletion (if applicable), it is essential to restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect.
